Christian Faith Activities & Values

Uptown Day Camp is a Christian-values based camp that includes worship, biblical stories, spiritual principles that align with the doctrine of Forest Hill Church.  FHC's doctrinal statement is available HERE .

Child Safety

All Camp staff are background checked, drug screened, and reference checked.  Forest Hill has a two-deep leadership policy in that no adult should be alone with a child at any time.  All staff must attend the an orientation and go over child protection policies and standards.

While transportation is not provided to and from camp, opportunities for field trips might arise during our 8-week session and transportation will be provided.

Asthma + Allergies

Please inform the camp staff via the registration form if your child has asthma or allergies of any kind. While we are currently unable to provide special foods, a breakfast and lunch menu is available via our website. We are a peanut-free zone.

The Uptown Day Camp will only disperse medicine as prescribed by a physician.  A medical form must be completed before any medication will be dispersed. Specific policies and procedures regarding dispensing medication will be available via this form.

First Aid

While we do not have a camp nurse, the Uptown Day Camp has a CPR/First Aid Certified adult onsite at all times.  First Aid kits are also available in every classroom.  Should medical attention become required, the instructions from the parent/guardian via the medical consent form will be followed.

Photographs or videos may be taken by camp or church affiliated staff for the purposes of marketing. Participation in the Uptown Summer Day Camp provides consent for your child’s photograph to be used.  Staff or volunteers are not permitted to photograph or video camp participants for personal social media pages.

Running Late?

We close at 6:00 p.m.  The camp will charge $5 for every 5 minutes that a parent is late (e.g. 6:01- 6:05 is $5, 6:06 – 6:10 is $10, etc).  If you are going to be late, please contact the Camp’s main telephone number as listed on the website.

Parent Information Packet
