Forest Hill Church's Uptown Day Camp is 8-weeks of full-day Summer fun for children grades rising Kindergarten through rising 5th grade.
While Uptown Day Camp is named after its previous central location at Irwin Elementary School, due to COVID-19, we will be at a different location. We are blessed to be able to hold camp at Forest Hill Church's South Park location at 7224 Park Road in Charlotte.
Camp runs Monday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Kids experience a wide range of activities including crafts, outdoor play, swimming, academic enrichment, field trips and much more.
Uptown Day Camp is a Christian-values based camp that includes worship, biblical stories, spiritual principles that align with the doctrine of Forest Hill Church. FHC's doctrinal statement is available HERE.
Cost is $35 per week per child. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided.
Paula Forte is Family Ministry Director for the NoDa Campus of Forest Hill Church. Paula has been in children & student ministry for more than 20 years. Her work spans organizing Sunday worship services, ministry events & outings, training other employees & volunteers, and leading the organization and execution of summer camps. Paula is originally from Phoenix, Arizona and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Arizona State and Emory University, respectively. In addition to her serving at Forest Hill Church, Paula is a national speaker, blog writer, and the founder of Purpose Over Rules, a ministry development firm that helps churches create ministries to influence the faith of the next generation on purpose. In addition to her vocational endeavors, she takes the most joy in raising her three gorgeous daughters: Chayil Destiny, Charity Joy, and Cherish Faith.
